With Wavves, it’s always the same question: lo-fi or hi-fi?
“I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl” is somewhere in between. Fuzzy and loud but not nearly as indecipherable as Nathan Williams’ early speaker-blown recordings, this song is a shit-kicker. Williams’ voice has never sounded more powerful, and his hooks are as sharp as ever.
